The conference starts off at 9:00AM on February 6 (Tue) at KEK. The shuttle bus for KEK from the OKURA hotel will leave at 8:00AM; the bus from the Urban hotel will leave at 8:20AM.


Scientific Program



The conference comprises invited talks in the three-day plenary sessions and contributed papers, which are presented in the poster session. Morning sessions start at 09:00AM and afternoon sessions start at 13:30. The scientific program is available from

The plenary sessions are held at the Seminar Hall on the 1st floor of KEK ``san-gou-kan (Building No.3)''. The poster session is held at the KEK International Center.




The KEK site

It is three minutes' walk from the Information Center at the Main Gate (#1) to the Building No.3 (#11). The the KEK International Center (#55) is adjacent to the Information Center.




Registration Fee



The registration fee for a participant to the conference is 12,000 yen. The fee includes the welcome drink and banquet. An additional ticket for attending these social events is available upon request for 6,000 yen. For students, the registration fee is discounted to 8,000 yen (or 2,000 yen without the ticket).

A registration desk will open at 08:00AM on Tuesday, February 6, at the room in front of the Seminar Hall. On Wednesday and Thursday it will open at 08:30AM. The registration fee should be paid at the desk in Japanese Yen by cash; please note that credit cards, traveler's cheques and so on cannot be accepted.

Poster Session



The poster session will be held at the KEK International Center in the evening of February 6 (Tue) from 17:30, immediately after the plenary sessions of the first day are ended, to 19:30. The list of contributed papers is available from

The allocated space for a poster is 180-cm height $\times$ 120-cm width at maximum.

Authors should display their posters on February 6, and take them out by 12:00 on February 7.

No book of Proceedings is made for this conference.

A wireless LAN service for the participants will be provided.




Social Events



All registered participants together with their accompanying persons (with tickets) are invited to the following social events in the conference.

Accommodation



OKURA Frontier Hotel TSUKUBA is adjacent to (and within a walking distance from) the ``Tsukuba Center'' bus terminal, where the direct bus from the Narita Airport arrives. It is also a few minutes' walk from the Tsukuba station, to which it takes 50 minutes from the Akihabara station in the Tokyo area by the TX railroad. A map around Tsukuba Center is available from

Urban Hotel is about 10 kilometers north of the "Tsukuba Center" bus terminal; taking a taxi from the bus terminal to the hotel will cost about 3,000 yen.




Bus Service



A daily shuttle service will be provided between each of the hotels (OKURA Frontier Hotel TSUKUBA and Urban Hotel) and KEK, once every morning and once every evening, during the period of the conference: February 6 to 8. The time table is available from

A public bus service, though it is not very frequent (every one hour or two) and costs 430 yen per ride, is also available between the Tsukuba Center bus terminal and KEK. The time table of the public bus service is available from

and will be provided at the front desk of the OKURA hotel.

Taking a taxi from the hotels to KEK will cost about 3,000 yen.




Currency Exchange



We recommend exchanging your money into Japanese Yens at a Currency Exchange counter of the Narita Airport, on the 1st floor in the arrival lobby. The information is available from

You may exchange dollars/euros/pounds at OKURA Frontier Hotel Tsukuba at a reasonable rate. A Plus ATM machine (weekdays 07:00AM-23:00, Saturday 09:00AM-21:00, Sunday 09:00AM-19:00) is available at the post office near the OKURA Frontier Hotel TSUKUBA. Please note that foreign currencies cannot be exchanged in the KEK site.


Climate



The climate in Tsukuba in February is cold, and the probability of a snowfall is small but non-negligible. The temperature could be as high as 10 degreesC and low around -3 degreesC. J-PARC tour on February 09 (Fri) [optional]



A half-day bus tour to the J-PARC site in the morning on February 09 (Fri) is arranged for the participants who have applied for the tour in the registration form. No more application is accepted.

The bus will return to Tsukuba at around 13:30.
